Happy Halloween!!

Well, it was Luke's first Halloween. The costume didn't stay on very long, since it was a warm day. But long enough to take plenty of pictures. All the kids at his day care (Ebenezer United Methodist Church Preschool) dressed up, and here he is riding the cart with his three buddies. (There are 3 other infants in his "class", all boys, all 6 months old). One is a pumpkin, one is the cowardly lion, and one is Robin (because his big brother was Batman).

Luke is 4 months old!

Can you believe it's been 4 months since Luke was born?? Time does surely fly! He went to the doctor on Friday to get his 4-month shots, and he was such a good little boy. Sure, he cried while he was getting the shots, but as soon as Greg picked him up, he was smiling and talking to us. (short memory)! Anyways, he was in the 55th percentile for height and weight. He now weighs 14 pounds 11 ounces, and he's 25 inches long.

So, to celebrate, we went on a hayride to a pumpkin patch. And we let Luke pick out his first pumpkin!! He went with his buddies Josh, Jack, and Kaitlin (the Pectol's triplets). Here are some pictures from the fun day:

(Don't you love his "grandpa" pants?? They're just a little too big for him right now).

Lots of new pictures!

Sorry it's been a while since we updated the Blog. I've found that not getting enough sleep, nursing and working full-time really takes a lot out of a person! I am so exhausted that I'm delirious. But I'm getting adjusted to the new schedule (and it probably helps that every beverage I consume during the day is caffeinated -- coffee in the morning, diet cokes during the day, and sweet tea at night).

Here are some new pictures of the little guy:

He's really been 'talking' and laughing a lot lately. We had a big chuckle-fest the other night. He started laughing, so we were laughing at him, which made him laugh harder, and that only made us laugh harder. It was great. I only wish we had captured it on video. (We have since charged the camcorder and are now ready for the next chuckle-fest).

After this picture was taken, I learned a valuable lesson... don't hold a baby over top of you, especially if this baby has just eaten!! You can only imagine what happened next... (we didn't take pictures of that). =)

How sweet is this??

Mommy's Lil' Buddy

Well, he's got his first official nickname -- I call him 'Buddy' all the time. Every kid needs a nickname. I think it's cute. My aunt called my cousin 'Bubba' all his life when really, his name is Drew. (But actually his legal name is Herbert LeBron Andrews III, so really 'Drew' is a nickname itself). So anyway, when I was in Babies R Us the other day, I saw a hooded towel that had printed on it, "Mommy's Lil' Buddy." I think I just might have to get it. How appropriate.

Here are some pictures from the past week:

Going to church....

He'll laugh at anything....

He's really getting that head and chest up off the ground. You can tell he wants to crawl so bad. He's got those arms and legs working while he's on his tummy. He ends up turning himself around about 90 degrees.

He's really talking a lot now. Of course, when I say talking, I mean cooing. But I think he's going to be a little talker. He will tell you all about it!

Luke is 3 months old!

Wow - we have made it to the 3-month mark! Last week was my first week back to work. So Luke is making the adjustment to day care. He's doing really well with the new schedule. I'm the one that's having a problem with it. Before I had him, I had a hard enough time getting myself to work on time. Now there's so much more stuff to get ready and be responsible for in the morning. There's Luke, Luke's diaper bag, several prepared bottles, my work bag, the breast pump, my lunch, etc. Thankfully I just worked part-time these first two weeks as I eased back into it. Next week will be my first week of full-time hours.

Here are some recent photos of Luke:

He's started grabbing at objects now, and as soon as he gets a hold of something, it goes straight for his mouth.
