... and such a Big Boy!! He's definitely not a baby anymore. He's a short little grown-up.
He's my little parrot, repeating everything I say. It's so cute. (And of course, it teaches me to watch what I say).... For example... here's a funny story... so Luke is sitting at the table eating his lunch at day care. He's minding his own business while this other 2-year old is having a complete meltdown. Lynnette is with the other kid across the room - he's sreaming and crying. So Luke quietly gets up from the table, walks over to the other kid, gets right up in his face and says "Shut Up!" Then he walks back over to the table, sits down and continues to eat his lunch. Of course, Lynnette had to conceal her laughter. But I was appalled and mortified. I wondered where on earth he learned that. I, of course, have never ever said that to him. So later that night, after I'd already told Greg the story and we both had a laugh, it hit me. The cats were going nuts, meowing, begging for dinner. And guess what I said to Pumpkin? Yep. That's exactly where he heard that. He heard Mommy say "Shut Up" to the kitty cats. Oops!! Lesson learned.
He's a good kid though. So good, in fact, that he will put himself in time out. They don't even use time out at school. And I've only done it to him once. But now, any time I tell him "No. Don't do that," well, he marches himself over in a corner and announces "Time Out." Cracks me up.
What else? Well, he's obsessed with the Wiggles. And I mean obsessed!! "Wiggles" is the first thing he says in the morning. And it's the first thing he says to me when I go pick him up in the afternoon. He knows all the Wiggles names. And he knows what each of them do... for example, Murray plays the guitar; Jeff sleeps, etc. Jeff is his favorite Wiggle.
Here are just some random pictures from the last couple of months...

Easter pics
Here are pictures from Easter.... (finally!) Sorry it took so long... so much to do, so little time! (Work is crazy, life is crazy! There just aren't enough hours in the day!)
Before church, we let him go ahead and get into Mommy and Daddy's Easter basket. As you can see, the first thing he goes for is a pink-colored candy-coated marshmallow thing wrapped in plastic.
He didn't want to let this piece of candy leave his hands. So to prevent a complete meltdown, I let him take it in the car with him. (I mean, it is wrapped in plastic, right? What could it hurt?) Well, he kept asking me to "open, open." I kept telling him "not now." Then it got really quiet in the backseat. I just kinda relished in the quiet for a minute but then my curiosity got the best of me... well, he had managed to get the candy out of its wrapper!! He had pink all over his face, all over his hands, and all over the collar of his brand new outfit!! Oh my gosh.
Yeah, I know what you're thinking: Don't you know better? Yeah, I really did. It just reinforced 2 things I already knew: 1) don't let a kid play with candy, wrapped or unwrapped if he is in a brand new outfit on the way to church and 2) don't buy brand new outfits for toddlers!! oh and, the big one: if it gets really quiet, then you know they are up to something!!! So that's our Easter story!

(Just look at that mischevious face)....
Then we headed over to my Mom's house after church and ate lunch with the family.
Ahh... the elusive family photo. This is rare!
This is Luke at the dinner table. He's playing with a "flower pot" napkin ring.
This is him opening Mimi's Easter basket... (really puts ours to shame)!

Mimi gave him 4 of the Backyardigans.... (one of his favorite shows)...
Poor thing... I think we wore him out!!
The day before Easter, we went to Chattanooga and spent the afternoon at the Tennessee Aquarium with The Tanners. He had so much fun!!!

This is the Nemo exhibit... Luke's favorite!
Sorry there aren't more (or better) pictures right now. Our camera is on the fritz and we are in the process of buying a new one. We haven't hardly taken many new pics since Christmas. (I know - I'm a horrible mom)!!

Happy Easter!
Luke loves 'Wabbits.' So I asked Patty if we could come to her house to take pictures with her bunnies. Luke was so excited about seeing the 'wabbits,' he just kept saying it over and over.
At first he didn't know what to do. He didn't get very close...
Aren't they precious?? I wanted to bring one home with me....
Then Patty gave him a carrot to feed the rabbits....
He wanted to eat the carrot himself...
Awww... how sweet... I had to keep telling him to "pet them gently." Pat, pat, pat.
After Patty put a bunny in his lap, he asked for "more." Then she put another bunny in his lap and he asked for "more." He still asked for "more" after the 4th bunny... So cute!
Here he is giving the bunny a kiss..
Have a Happy Easter.
