On this particular weekend, we were visiting Cleveland and happened to have a few minutes before church started. That's where I snapped these photos. I've already framed a few, and even had one blown up on canvas. Hope you enjoy!! Let me know which one is your favorite.

Kiddos
It's no secret I love photography, and one of my favorite things to do is take pictures of my kids. Usually, though, it's the normal candid-type shots with food on their face or them just being silly. Rarely do I get the opportunity to take frame-worthy portraits.

And, I would LOVE to take photos of your kids too, if you'll let me. :)

Lucy's 2nd Birthday
Still trying to catch up with my Blogs. Lucy celebrated her 2nd birthday on May 29, 2012. Hard to believe two short years ago, she entered the world 16 weeks early at only 1 pound 9 ounces. Here is her very first picture:
5.29.10
That's Greg's thumb holding her tiny foot. 6.3.10
6.16.10
6.24.10
Fast forward two years and you'd never have known she was a preemie just by looking at her.
Sure, she's still a little small for her age. And sure, she's not talking yet. But I have every confidence she is going to catch up. She's just going to do it on her own time.
Mimi got her a doll for her birthday.
Pa, Va and Martha
The typical cookout - hamburgers, hotdogs, potato salad, baked beans, etc.
Do you sense a strawberry theme??
These are homemade strawberry cupcakes with a strawberry merangue-type of frosting, courtesy Sandra Lee. Found the recipe here. Except I didn't really follow the recipe that well. I used strawberry cake mix instead of white. And I didn't add the oil or the corn syrup. So they were semi-healthy. :)
YUM!
Messy girl.
Lucy with her Great Grandfather and Great Virginia.
Then we headed outside for some sprinkler action!
HAPPY BIRTHDAY, Lucy!!
I am so glad you rocked my world two years ago. My life was not complete without you in it!!

This is my 200th Post!
200 posts. If you think about it, it's really not that many. I started this blog in 2005, right before Luke was born. And I took a break from it for a while after Lucy was born. But I'm getting back on track. My goal is to catch up soon. Once I'm caught up, I won't have to post quite a many pictures in one post, and therefore I can post more often. So check back frequently! :)
Weekend in Winston-Salem
For Memorial Day weekend, we headed to a vintage car show in Winston-Salem. This is the very same car show that Greg and Luke were at 2 years ago when they got the call that I'd gone in to labor. (In his defense, my doctor assured him that nothing was going to happen this weekend and that he was free to leave the state. I was on bedrest in the hospital and at only 24 weeks, no one expected a baby to come so soon. So I encouraged him to go on his already-planned weekend trip).
We've come so far since that day, so we thought it would be neat to travel back as a family to the very same car show: http://atthevintage.com/

This was actually the first time Lucy had ever stayed in a hotel room.
And the first time all 4 of us slept in one room together. Yikes. Lucy ended up in the king-size bed with us. It still wasn't big enough.
Cars lined up on the streets in downtown Winston-Salem.
Yellow is my favorite!
Luke had fun looking at all the cars.
And I had fun taking tons of pictures!
Love all the old buildings in downtown Winston-Salem.
Even Lucy had fun. What a cutie pie!
Of course Greg had to buy a t-shirt and Luke had to buy a car!
Thankgoodness the beer was free!!
No kidding. It really was!! :)
There were 4 kinds to choose from, but the wheat one was my fave!!
Then they found the town watering hole.
He was drenched by the end of it.
While the kids had fun at the car show, they much preferred playing in the pool at the hotel.
On Sunday, we left Winston-Salem and headed towards Asheville. We stopped in Montreat for some play time at the park.
Silly girl.
Lake Susan
I love it ... Luke is doing exactly what Mommy is doing ... taking pictures!! :)
Next, we headed to Asheville for lunch at Sunny Point Cafe, my absolute FAVORITE place to eat in Asheville. If you've never been, I HIGHLY recommend it! You can't go wrong with anything on the menu.
